SeaClear is a PC-based chart plotter for Windows 2000/XP/NT/95/98/ME. With a GPS connected, it displays the current position, speed, heading and other data on the screen.
The chart is repositioned and new charts are loaded automatically as needed. Tracks may be saved to files for later reviewing, and log book entries can be manually and automatically entered. Unlimited number of routes and waypoints can be created and used to assist the navigation. The screen area for charts is maximized with most functions accessed with the right mouse button. Zooming is provided with support for IntelliMouse wheel. SeaClear is created for nautical navigation but can probably be used for other navigation needs.

I have used Sea Clear since the late 90's and have nothing but good comments about it. I admit I use three different programs and devices for redundancy but always rely on Sea Clear to do planning and verify the other two. I have a great deal of confidence in Sea Clear because it uses real navigation charts (the ones that will no longer be printed by NOAA). I am one of the broad thinkers when it comes to navigation on the water. "Land Masses" do not change! As long as I navigate in deep water (deep enough for my vessel) I will not intentionally stand into danger. Having navigated with Sea Clear since the late 90's and never having done an update I find very few major changes to those charts from the current "updated" electronic navigation software. I will always keep Sea Clear within arms length when planning navigating and saving navigational data.
Used it for years, can even navigate on flightphotos.
